Vintage Atari Asteroids Deluxe Cocktail Cabinet Original Arcade Vector Graphics
An original Atari Asteroids Deluxe cocktail cabinet! It is as clean as new and working reliably in 1 Player mode. The board appears reliable, the vector monitor crisp and clear, all buttons for P1 working, coinslots working but will need mechanical adjustment for modern coins, and volcano buttons great - it's wonderful to look at, and is mint internally. All three locks have keys. One lid locking catch is missing, there is one catch as a pattern for making the other, and the mechanisms will need adjusting. The smoked acrylic screen filter is in place and the original card screen surround is intact.
The front of the machine is vinyl covered, not melamine... It is tidy but may need perfecting around the coinbox. The access door has a small corner of melamine missing, a spare piece will be supplied to repair it - a fairly easy job with care.
The coinbox could do with refinishing. Complete with almost mint stands. I don't use the stands indoors on carpe t and there is an internal filtered mains socket for a kettle lead.
For proper use, this should be mounted into the circular hole on the bottom of the machine. Working perfectly in Player 1 mode, in Player 2 mode, the screen does not flip and the contols are unresponsive. It plays fine as-is, so I've never been bothered to sort out the P2 problems.
